Our Mission
Ratoath Independent Living Initiative uses best international practice to maintain and manage Arkle House for persons with permanent significant physical disabilities so that it provides opportunities for occupants to maximise their levels of independence and self-esteem, enabling them to integrate with local and wider communities and participate in the economic and social activities in the area
History of RILI
Ratoath Independent Living Initiative (RILI) was set up as a Company Limited by Guarantee in 2006. RILI has overseen the building of an apartment block of 12 units located in the Steeplechase development in Ratoath, Co Meath. It is an non-profit making Approved Housing body with Charity status. All members of its board oversee the administration and maintenance of the units on a voluntary basis. The units have been designed to a very high specification to accommodate those with physical disabilities particularly for those who are wheel-chair bound to promote independent living.
